Accessibility at fahrradkauf24.de

We want everyone to be able to shop at fahrradkauf24.de without any stress. Whether with or without a disability, young or old – everyone should be able to find their way around our site. This is important to us, and we are constantly working on it.

What exactly do we do?

We adhere to the international web standards (WCAG 2.1), but we know: nobody's perfect, and our site isn't (yet) either. Accessibility isn't just a checklist item, but an ongoing process. We often discover things ourselves, and sometimes we receive feedback from users. As soon as we notice something, we take care of it.

Then please let us know directly! The easiest way is by email to info@fahrradkauf24.de – ideally with a link to the page and a brief description of what isn't working as it should. You don't need to provide any personal information. Just tell us where the problem lies so we can address it.

How accessible is the website right now?

Many things are already quite good – but there are still some rough edges. We're making improvements and continuously working to make everything a little better.

What isn't working optimally yet?

Some images (for example, the logo) don't yet have proper alternative text.

Headings and tables aren't always optimally marked for screen readers.

In some cases, the colors don't have enough contrast.

Not every view works perfectly when zooming.

The navigation at the top doesn't yet work completely with the keyboard, and the visible focus is sometimes missing.

Not all buttons or links are easily accessible.

Some texts and languages aren't yet perfect everywhere.

Some technical information isn't correctly recognized by screen readers.

Settings like larger font or high contrast aren't yet available everywhere.

Why is this?

Some issues stem from older content, others from the theme, and still others from third-party tools. We can't fix everything overnight, but we're working on it – we promise!

What are our goals?

We aim to have removed the biggest barriers by the end of 2025 at the latest.

Dispute Resolution & Monitoring
If you don't receive a response after four weeks or are dissatisfied, you can contact a dispute resolution body (address to follow). A supervisory authority will also be established as soon as it is named.

Anything else?

Our shop is easy to use: Add products to your cart, order, and you're done. In the main menu you'll find everything about our product range, while the footer contains legal information, shipping, payment, and customer service. Your order will only be placed when you click "Buy"—you can cancel at any time until then.
